Small Boats Network

A collective of Christians who feel called to start new small Christian communities across villages and towns.

Vision & Values

We see vibrant, small Christian communities dispersed across villages and towns, doing life together, and praying in and for the places they live. We see these communities as an expression of the local church, bringing the Kingdom of God where they are located.

The metaphor of small boats and harbour is one which we feel best describes this vision. We see each community like a small boat – agile, unique, and equipped for making disciples. We see harbour as a place for small boats to come together to find rest and refreshing, as well as a place to tell stories, to celebrate together, and to equip the boats for more adventures.

The values that each small boat holds in common are:

Candle (the presence of God; Father Son and Holy Spirit in all of life, in every community and in every heart).

Table (community lived in and lived out around a table, a place of generosity, hospitality and study).

Door (compelled by love to go outside in mission and to welcome in through the door the pilgrim, the friend and the stranger).
